audio (noun) - The transmission, reception, or reproduction of sound.
spike (verb) - To enhance or add to.
Audiospike is redefining audio for the web, and we need your help to make it happen. We’re not the first to try, but we know something that the others don’t. We know that the web is different from desktop mixers and media players. You don’t interact with sound on the web in the same way that you might in live venues or on home sequencers. The web is an entirely different and new territory for audio - not just for listening to, but for interacting with.
That’s why we’ve made sure audio is fluid and dynamic on AudioSpike. Everywhere that there is audio on our website, we’ll be giving you an opportunity to create something new from it - a new beat, a new sequence, a new audio “spike”. We’ll still let you to upload your own files of course. If you decide to share it, we’ll even keep track of who’s using your audio in their own spikes.
On AudioSpike, sound isn’t just something you play. It’s something you play with.

Rockin. I can’t wait to Spike!
